OLYMPIACOS, Pelekanos stay together
Michalis Pelekanos - Olympiacos - Final Four Berlin 2009Olympiacos reached an agreement with veteran swingman Michalis Pelekanos to keep him with the team for an additional season. Pelekanos (1.98 meters, 30 years old) will mark his third season with the Reds. He averaged 0.7 points and 1.2 rebounds over six games in limited minutes in the 2010-11 Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Those numbers jumped to 4.4 points and 2.1 boards in the Greek League. Pelekanos grew up with Peristeri and has since played for AEK Athens, Panellinios, Real Madrid and Maroussi. He helped the Reds to win the 2011 Greek Cup and was a member of the Greek national team at EuroBasket 2007 and at the 2008 Olympic Games.
