FC BARCELONA REGAL goes big with Wallace
CJ Wallace - Gran Canaria 2014 (Photo: acb.com)Spanish League champion FC Barcelona Regal bolstered its frontcourt for the upcoming season by inking power forward C.J. Wallace to a two-year contract, the club announced Wednesday. Wallace (2.06 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Gran Canaria 2014, where he averaged 9.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 11 Eurocup games last season. He helped his team finish fifth in the Spanish League regular season and reach the Eurocup Last 16. Wallace has also played for Benetton Basket and Capo d'Orlando in Italy, as well as for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in Germany, since finishing his college career at Princeton University (NCAA). He helped Benetton to reach the Italian League semifinals and the Eurocup Final Eight in 2009 and was the 2007-08 Italian League's best rebounder (10.4 rpg.) with Capo D'Orlando. Wallace now has the chance to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut after three consecutive Eurocup seasons.
