UNICS lands scoring guard Greer

Lynn Greer - Fenerbahce UlkerIn further efforts to build a competitive team for its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut season, Eurocup reigning champs Unics Kazan added point guard Lynn Greer to the team. Greer (1.88 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey where last season he averaged 5.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearances. Greer will bring some more Euroleague experience to the team along with newcomers Mike Wilkinson, Alexey Savrasenko, Henry Domercant and Nathan Jawai. Greer spent two years in Fenerbahce, but before that he had also played in Olympiacos of Greece Dynamo Moscow of Russia, Napoli of Italy and made his Euroleague debut with Idea Slask Wroclaw of Poland in 2003-04, a season in which he made it to the All-Euroleague second team. He played college ball in Temple from 1998 to 2002 and then moved to Greecethat year to sign for Near East. He has stayed in Europe all these years except for a brief stint at the Milwaukee Bucks in 2006-07.
