Boris Savovic joins Galatasaray Medical ParkGalatasaray Medical Park bolstered its frontline ahead of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 by signing power forward Boris Savovic for the remainder of the season. Savovic (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from boyhood club Hemofarm Stada, where he has spent the vast majority of his career to date. He averaged 12.8 points and a competition best 11.4 rebounds over 16 Adriatic League games for Hemofarm this season. He is well versed in European competition having played six Eurocup seasons with Hemofarm – including reaching the 2009 Eurocup semifinals. His lone experience away from Hemofarm to date was the 2009-10 season, when he played for Buducnost and helped the team win the Montenegrin Cup and the Montenegrin League titles. Savovic also played for the Montenegrin under-20 national team that won the gold medal at the 2007 Division B European Championships in Warsaw, Poland.
