ANADOLU EFES brings in swingman Shipp
Anadolu Efes Istanbul fortified its perimeter game by signing Josh Shipp for the remainder of the season. The move reunites the swingman with Coach Oktay Mahmuti. The two worked together the past two seasons at Galatasaray Medical Park. Shipp (1.96 meters, 26 years old) has spent his entire professional career in Turkey. Last season he averaged 9.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games and 10.4 points and 4.1 boards in the Turkish League. Shipp was a college teammate of Efes star guard Jordan Farmar at the University of California at Los Angeles. He made his professional debut with Bornova Bld. In 2009. Efes will be his third club. Shipp should be in the mix right away, because he has trained with the club over the past several weeks.
