BROSE BASKETS bring in swingman Walsh
Matt Walsh - Asvel Basket_30234German champion Brose Baskets Bamberg strengthened its perimeter attack by signing swingman Matt Walsh for the remainder of the season. Walsh (1.99 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Belgian side Belgacom Spirou Charleroi, with whom he ranked third in the Eurocup regular season this season in performance index rating with an average of 23 per game. Walsh tallied 17.6 points, 6 rebounds and 4.6 assists in five Eurocup contests. In the Belgian League, Walsh was worth 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists over 15 games this season. Bamberg will be Walsh’s second Euroleague club. He ranked third in the Euroleague regular season in scoring during the 2009-10 season when he averaged 17.3 points over nine games with Union Olimpija Ljubljana. Walsh has also played for Olimpia GE Larissa and Aris BSA 2003 in Greece, Miami in the NBA, Arkansas in the NBA D-League, Manresa, UCAM Murcia and Caja Laboal Vitoria in Spain, Asvel Basket in France and Azovmash in Ukraine.
