PARTIZAN mt:s, coach Vujosevic reunite
Dusko Vujosevic - PartizanA coaching legend is back to his trademark team, as Partizan mt:s has announced the return of Dusko Vujosevic, who penned a three-year deal with the Serbian powerhouse on Monday. Vujosevic, age 53, has not coached for almost two years following an early departure from CSKA Moscow in late November, 2010. He is nothing but a legend to Partizan fans. He became the face of the franchise in the 2000s. Vujosevic coached the Serbian powerhouse from 2001 through 2010 with no interruption and led it to nine consecutive national championships, four cups and four Adriatic League titles in becoming the most successful coach in that club's illustrious history. Known for his ability to develop young talent, Vujosevic took Partizan to the 2010 Final Four and the 2008 and 2009 Euroleague Playoffs. Among the many stars developed by Vujosevic at Partizan are Sasha Djordjevic, Predrag Danilovic, Vlade Divac, Zarko Paspalj in the 1980s and later Kosta Perovic, Novica Velickovic, Aleks Maric, Jan Vesely, Nikola Pekovic, Milenko Tepic, Milos Vujanic, Vule Avdalovic and Nenad Krstic - just to name a few.

Vujosevic began his coaching career as a 17-year old in 1976. Until 1982 he coached various junior teams for Partizan. After that, he moved to OKK Beograd for one season and led the club's junior team to the Yugoslavian title. The same year, he worked on the coaching staff of OKK Beograd's first team. He started his pro career at Partizan in 1985 and stayed there until 1989. After that, Vujosevic spent one year in Spain with CB Granada before going back to Partizan for the 1990-91 season. The following campaign, he coached Partizan's archrival Crvena Zvezda and then spent seasons in Italy with Brescia, Pistoia and Scavolini, respectively, before going back to Yugoslavia with KK Buducnost and then with KK Radnicki from 1999 to 2001. After that stint, he was back to Partizan to take the club to new heights in European basketball culminating with a Euroleague Final Four appearance in 2010 in Paris, the first one for the club in a dozen years.

Vujosevic was named the Alexander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year for the 2008-09 season as voted by his Euroleague colleagues. Among other highlights in his career are winning the Yugoslavian League in 1987 and the 1989 Korac Cup, both with Partizan. At an international level, Vujosevic was head coach of the Serbia and Montenegro national team during EuroBasket of 2003 in Sweden, where the team finished sixth. He has also coached the national team of Montenegro.
