Kristjan Kangur - Asvel Basket_24469Italian champs Montepaschi Siena announced a new deal with small forward Kristjan Kangur for the upcoming season. Kangur (2.01 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Cimberio Varese of the Italian League, where last season he averaged 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 36 games. Kangur made his pro debut in 2000 with Kalev Tallinn of his native Estonia, and played there until 2004. He then moved to Germany to join the Giants Leverkusen until 2006. In 2006 he was back to Estonia to play with BC Kalev/Cramo always in the starting five. Kangur made his Euroleague debut in 2009 when he moved to France to play with Asvel Basket. He averaged 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10 games. At the end of that season he moved to Italy and played a few games with Canadian Solar Bologna but in the summer of 2010 he joined Varese, where he remained until now.
