Staiger (1.96 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg, where he averaged 12.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 32 German League games last season. He started his career with TSG Ehingen and moved overseas to play at Iowa State University for almost three seasons. Alba Berlin landed him in January 2010 and Staiger played in the German capital until he joined Ludwigsburg last season. Staiger is also a regular member of the German national team. "The crucial reason for me to come to Bayern is certainly its coach. I have played for Svetislav Pesic in the German national team and that worked really well for me," Staiger said. "Moving to bayern is the next step for me, the next challenge."
