Vassilis Spanoulis - Olympiacos - EB12Reigning Euroleague MVP Vassilis Spanoulis will remain with the champs! Spanoulis (1.93 meters, 30 years old), who led Olympiacos Piraeus to back-to-back Turkish Airlines Euroleague titles the last two seasons and earned Final Four MVP honors each time, decided to remain with the Reds and signed a three-year contract with the club. The star guard was chosen to the All-Euroleague First Team in each of those seasons and was named the competition's MVP last season. He averaged 14.7 points and 5.5 assists in 31 Euroleague games last season. Spanoulis has won three career Euroleague titles in as many Final Four appearances - with Panathinaikos in 2009 and with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013. He three Final Four MVP honors are something that only the legendary Toni Kukoc did before him.

Spanoulis started his career with Keravnos Larissa and joined Maroussi in summer 2001. After four seasons with Maroussi, Spanoulis joined Panathinaikos, went on to play for Houston in the NBA and re-joined the Greens before the start of the 2007-08 season. He has played for Olympiacos the last three seasons. Spanoulis has won four Greek doubles - league and cup titles - with Panathinaikos in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He won another double with Olympiacos in 2012. Spanoulis is also a regular member of the Greek national team. Spanoulis helped Greece to win EuroBasket 2005, reach the 2006 FIBA World Championship final and conquer a bronze medal at EuroBasket 2009.
