Josey Dorsey - Olympiacos - EB 12-13FC Barcelona added size and championship experience to its roster by inking center Joey Dorsey to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Dorsey (2.03 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Royal Hali Gaziantep, where he averaged 15.7 points and 12.5 rebounds in 21 Turkish League games last season. He started the 2012-13 season with reigning Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion Olympiacos Piraeus, averaging 3.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 3 games before joining Gaziantep in November, where he became the Turkish League's best rebounder. Dorsey started the season with Caja Laboral, but didn't see much playing time with the Spanish powerhouse. Once he joined Olympiacos before the start of the Top 16, Dorsey became a pillar in the Reds' frontcourt, as he averaged 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in that phase. Dorsey was instrumental in the fourth quarter of the semifinal against Barcelona. He had 8 points, 5 rebounds and a great impact on that game. Dorsey helped Olympiacos to win both the Euroleague and the Greek League titles for the first time since 1997. He spent the previous three seasons in the NBA, where Dorsey played in a total of 61 games for Houston, Sacramento and Toronto. Dorsey averaged 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 42 NBA games with Toronto in 2010-11. Previously, Dorsey helped the University of Memphis to reach the 2007 NCAA final four. Dorsey now returns to the Euroleague for a third consecutive season and with a third different team.
