ANADOLU EFES inks swingman Hopson

Scotty Hopson signs for Anadolu Efes (Photo: BSL)Anadolu Efes added some scoring punch on the wings with the signing of Scotty Hopson for the coming season. Hopson (2.00 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Hapoel Eilat, with whom he ranked third in the Israeli League in scoring with 18.6 points per game last season. Hopson also contributed 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists in leading Eilat to a third place finish. He made a name for himself in the United States with a standout college basketball career at the University of Tennessee. He was named to the All-SouthEastern Conference First-Team after leading his team with 17 points per game in his junior season in 2011. Hopson racked up 1,305 points in the seasons with the Vols. Hopson played his first professional season in Greece with Kolossos Rhodes, which he led to the semifinals in the 2011-12 campaign.
