The big man has previous European experience in Israel and Italy, but will be making his Euroleague debut with Zielona Gora. Brackins (2.08 meters, 25 years old) split time last season between Angelico Biella of Italy and Los Angeles of the NBA D-League. He averaged 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds over 10 games with Biella before a hand injury shortened his time there. After recovering, Brackins posted 4.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in nine games with L.A.

Brackins played college basketball at Iowa State, where he was named to the All-Big 12 Conference First-Team after his sophomore season. Brackins signed a two-year deal with Philadelphia of the NBA in 2010, but spent time on loan with Maine and Springfield in the D-League. He also played for Ashdod in Israel at the start of the 2011-12 season. Brackins played a total of 17 NBA games and 34 D-League games. He figures to provide Zielona Gora with an inside scoring threat and shot-blocking presence.
