STELMET ZIELONA GORA lands scorer Oliver

Stelmet Zielona Gora added some scoring punch to its backcourt by signing Adrian Oliver. The shooting guard returns to Europe after playing briefly in Greece for Aris Thesaloniki two years ago. Oliver (1.93 meters, 25 years old) was an elite scorer at San Jose State University, where he played three seasons. He averaged 24 points on 40.9% three-point shooting and 5.3 rebounds as a senior in 2010-11. Oliver was twice named to the All- Western Athletic Conference First Team and set school records for most points in one game (42), highest career scoring average (21.9 ppg.) and most 30-point games in a season (8) and career (17), among others. He left ranked second on the Spartans’ career lists in scoring (1,750 points) and three-pointers made (138).
