Newly crowned Dutch Cup winners Matrixx Magixx Nijmegen edged defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch 99-104 in overtime in an instant classic. Although the result didn't change the standings – the defending champions dropped to 34-3 and Nijmegen climbed to 22-13 – it was a big boost for Magixx. Alhaji Mohammed led the way for the winners with 28 points, while Seamus Boxley added 27 and Ryan Sears came up big with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 steals. Leon Rodgers and Travis Young scored 20 apiece for EiffelTowers, Sam Jones and Kees Akerboom had 12 each and Eric Nelson 10 points and rebounds. The game was in perfect balance with the scoring tied at the end of all the four quarters: 25-25, 40-40, 62-62 and 89-89. In two other wins on the road, Landstede Zwolle stunned Astronauts Amsterdam 69-72 as Rein Van der Kamp tallied 27 points, and Woon! Aris beat Polynorm Giants 89-93 behind 23 points from Dallas Logan and 20 points and 14 rebounds from Gary Ware. In the only two home victories of the night, James Mathis amassed 34 points and 13 rebounds to help Upstairs Weert defeat Rotterdam 88-85 and Hanzevast Capitals downed Omniworld Almere 95-74 led by Chris Woods'a 19 points.
