Polish League, Game 25: March 31-April 1, 2007
Donatas Slanina - Prokom Trefl Defending Polish League champion Prokom Trefl Sopot wrapped up the regular season title and first place throughout the playoffs with a 75-65 win over ASCO Slask Wroclaw. The weekend's results actually saw the top four spots and accordingly home-court advantage in the best-of-five quarterfinals series finalized with one game left on the schedule. In addition to Prokom in first and Slask in third, Turow Zgorzelec is second following an 83-70 victory over Polpharma Starogard Gdanski. Thomas Kelati and Robert Witka both scored 20 for winners, while Andres Rodriguez finished with 5 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds and 7 steals. David Logan had 19 in defeat. Anwil Wloclawek clinched fourth with a 64-75 road win at Kotwica Kolobrzeg behind 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals from Goran Jagodnik. In other games, Gipsar Stal snapped a four-game losing streak with a 105-78 victory over AZS Koszalin. Nate Erdmann led five Stal scorers in double figures with 26 points and Tony Akins flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds. Polpak Swiecie beat Polonia 10-25 in the last quarter for a 57-67 victory. Harding Nana had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Polpak. Six players scored in double figures for Czarni in a 72-103 win at Znicz Jaroslaw. Tomasz Zablocki was perfect from the field, making five triples and finishing with 19 points.

Prokom Trefl Sopot started the game with just two guards in the rooster, but Christian Dalmau was unstoppable till the break. He made his first seven attempts from the field and hosts built a double digit advantage. Slask tried to come back, and forced both Dalmau and Slanina into foul trouble. With just less than four minutes left guests came within three points, but weren’t able to get any closer. Slanina hit critical triples and Polish champions survived. Lithuanian guard led winners with 17 points, while Christian Dalmau added 15 of his 16 in the first half. He also finished with 8 assists. Jasnim Hukis scored 13, while Tomas Masiulis had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Oliver Stevic scored 13 points in 15 minutes to lead four Slask’s players in double figures.
