Todor Stoykov - Lukoil Lukoil Academic Sofia topped Balkan 99-76 on Friday and took advantage of second place CSKA's loss in Varna to Cherno More IG to clinch home-court advantage throughout the Bulgarian League playoffs. Academic improved to 24-1 – three wins more than CSKA with three games remaining. However CSKA cannot overtake Academic on the tiebreaker. Academic had an easy time against Balkan, building a 33-13 margin at the end of the first quarter. Todor Stoykov led the way with 28 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Donta Smith added 19, Riste Stefanov 18 and Chavdar Kostov came off the bench for 12. Pavel Noykov led five Balkan scorers in double figures with 16. Meanwhile, CSKA collected its fourth loss of the season, 86-80, at Cherno More IG. Aleksander Bojic was the hero for Cherno More with 31 points and 10 rebounds, while Leven Belberov drilled 22. Jordan Bozov had 27 in defeat. Also Friday, Levski outlasted Spartak Pleven 106-88 behind 24 points and 18 rebounds from Stefan Georgiev.
