Belgian League, Game 31: April 7, 2007
Eric Hicks - Telindus Oostende Spirou Charleroi took the big showdown atop the Belgian League standings and stayed first now with a 22-9 by downing Telindus Oostende 91-74 at home on Saturday night. Tremmell Darden led the winners with 26 points, Greg Grays and Roger Huggins each added 13 while Damir Krupalija had 10 for Charleroi. Glen McGowan and Eric Hicks each had 16 points for Oostende, Rashad Wright added 15 and Elvir Ovcina 10. Charleroi led 52-46 at halftime while a three-pointer by Grays boosted the hosts' lead to 71-57 after three quarters, enough to seal the outcome. Dexia Mons-Hainaut dropped to 18-13 due to a shocking 62-105 home loss against Euphony Bree. Kevin Houston led Mons with 22 points. Ben Ebong had 24 points and 12 rebounds for Bree, that led 36-55 at halftime and kept rolling after the break to cruise to a big road win. Okapi Aalstar provided the biggest surprise this weekend by downing Sanex Antwerp G 61-77 on the road behind 23 points from Wes Wilkinson. In other games, Basket Gr Leuven thrashed Liege Basket 81-60 while Atomia Brussels edged Pepinster 71-72 witha  buzzer-beating triple from Michael Campbell.
