French League, Game 29: April 15, 2007
Everything stayed the same stop the French League standings, as Nancy is first at 21-8 by thrashing Paris 105-75 at home on Saturday. Cedrick Banks led the way for Nancy with 17 points. Victor Samnick and Branko Milisavljevic each had 15 points, Tariq Kirksay added 12 and DeRon Hayes 11 in an easy home win for Nancy, that led 82-53 after 30 minutes. Strasbourg improved to 19-11 by overwhelming Bourg 109-62 at home also on Saturday. Claude Marquis led Strasbourg with 18 points, Chuck Eidson and Michael Smith each added 17, Afik Nissim 16 and Aerick Sanders 10. Strasbourg led 22-9 after 10 minutes and never looked back. Le Mans improved to 17-12 and is sixth by beating Gravelines 60-71 on the road. Yannick Bokolo led the winners with 20 points, Eric Campbell added 18 while Pape Philippe Amagou and Sandro Nicevic each had 13 for Le Mans, that led 44-55 after three quarters and did not find much trouble to add another win. Pau-Orthez droppd to 16-13 due to a 103-100 overtime road loss against Besancon. Michael Wright had 23 points for Pau, Melvin Sanders 21, C.C. Harrison 16, Cedric Ferchaud 15 and Aaron Miles 11. Besancon rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit, but Ferchaud scored inside to force overtime, 85-85. Free throws by Sean Colson allowed Besancon to get a big home win. In other games, Orleans edged Chalon 67-68, Clermont thrashed Reims 84-53, Roanne topped Dijon 86-98, Cholet beat Hyeres-Toulon 85-75 while Adecco Asvel downed Le Havre 71-94.
