Dutch League, Game 45: April 12-14, 2007
The Dutch League regular season ended this weekend with defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch finishing in first place with a 36-4 record. The club's forward Leon Rodgers was named the MVP after averaging 23 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He led Den Bosch to an easy win over Omniworld Almere, 99-65, in their last game with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Sharone Wright also has a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards, while Eric Nelson scored 15 and Travis Young 10. Mike Nahar and Tjoede Paula had 17 apiece for Omniworld. Meanwhile, Rotterdam downed Astronauts Amsterdam 73-85 behind 21 points and 10 rebounds from Anthony Dill. Landstede Zwolle scored a thrilling 76-75 success over Hanzevast Capitals thanks to John Williams's 26 points. Chris Carrawell posted 23 points to lead Matrixx Magixx Nijmegen over Woon! Aris on the road 92-96 and Zorg en Zekhereid conquered the last ticket for the playoffs by beating Upstairs Weert 79-89. The quarterfinals series are: EiffelTowers-Zorg en Zekhereid, Matrix Magixx-Polynorm Giants, Hanzevast Capitals-Astronauts and Rotterdam-Upstairs Weert.
