Swiss League Playoffs, Quarterfinals Game 3: April 18, 2007

Olympic Fribourg, Geneva Devils and Lugano Tigers advanced to the Swiss League semifinals by sweeping their best-of-five quarterfinals series 3-0. The last ticket to the semis will is down to the series where BC Boncourt leads BBC Monthey 2-1. The recent winners of the Swiss Cup, Olympic Fribourg beat Lausanne Morges 89-76 after a 19-point second-quarter run gave then a 54-36 halftime lead. Pascal Perrier David was their main contributor with 22 points, Lorenzo Orr added 15 and Harold Mrazek 14. Fribourg now awaits the winner of the Boncourt/Monthey series to learn its next opponent. Boncourt thrashed Monthey 90-59 in Game 3 of that series behind Kenyan Block's 19 points. Geneva Devils downed Birstal Starwings on the road 66-77 behind 17 points apiece from Franck Bennett and Alon Stein to set up a semifinal clash with Lugano Tigers, which was led by Edwin Draughan's 19 points in a 74-65 victory over Sion Herens.
