Greek League, Game 26: April 28, 2007
Dejan Tomasevic - Panathinaikos The curtains went down on the Greek League regular season with the three Euroleague representatives capturing the top three spots. Panathinaikos thrashed Olympia Larissa 87-58 and will have the home advantage all the way through the playoffs. Aris clinched second place for the first time in 16 years after its road win over Apollon Patras 86-67. Olympiacos followed in third beating PAOK in Thessaloniki, 71-60, while Panionios finished fourth after its away win over Egaleo, 76-66. In other games Panellinios held off Olympiada Patras 78-69, Maroussi beat Makedonikos 90-69 and AEK posted 87-81 away win over AE Larissa. Panathinaikos will meet with Maroussi in the first round of the postseason, Aris will face Olympia Larissa, Olympiacos will travel to Thessaloniki to play PAOK, while Panionios and Panellinios will face each other in an Athens derby. The quarterfinal series will be played in a best-of-three format.

Panathinaikos did not have to work too hard at Athens Olympic Indoor Hall (OAKA) to crush Olympia in its last game before the tip-off in of the Euroleague Final Four. Mike Batiste led the way with 14 points, followed by Sani Becirovic, Milos Vujanic and Dejan Tomasevic who had 12, 12 and 11 respectively. Mat Walsh scored 19 and Giorgos Tsiaras 16 for the visitors. Aris used its frontline to beat Apollon in Patras, 86-67, as Mike Wilkinson (15), Giannis Giannoulis (14) and Jeremiah Massey (12) combined for 41 points. Terrell Castle was hot from the perimeter with 20 points and veteran Jimmy Oliver had 15 for the guests.

Olympiakos beat PAOK in Thessaloniki in a game that could be characterized as a preview of the playoffs as the two teams will face each other in the first round. Arvydas Macijauskas led the Reds with 14 points, Christos Charissis had another good performance with 13, as did Alex Acker, while Ryan Stack returned from his injury with 3 points and 2 rebounds in 8 minutes of play. Former Olympiacos guard Giannis Kalampokis was PAOK's top scorer with 22 points, followed by C.J. Watson with 11.
