Davor Kus - Cibona Cibona edged Kvarner Rijeka 97-94 at the end of a thrilling match to retain its share of first place in the Croatian-League table with Zadar at 8-1. Cibona sparked with a 31-9 burst before Rijeka answered with 14 straight points. The hosts led late in the third quarter 82-63, but allowed Rijeka back again. The game wasn't settled until Jere Macura missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer that could have sent the game to overtime. Davor Kus led the way for Cibona with 24 points and Brent Wright had 22. Zadar topped Cedevita 95-79 as Carl English posted 24 points and Jure Lalic 20. Split downed Borik Puntamika 76-59 behind 26 points from Larry Ayuso, while KK Zagreb beat Svjetlost 81-99 on the road.
