Croatian League second phase, Game 9: May 5, 2007
Andrew Wisniewski - Cibona Cibona and Zadar keep tying atop the Croatian League standings, each with a 9-1 record. Cibona did not find much trouble to down Svjetlost Brod 66-97 on the road on Saturday. Andrew Wisniewski led 7 Cibona players in double digits with 16 points. Davor Kus and Brent Wright each added 13, Marin Rozic got 10 while Marijan Mance, Chris Warren and Ivan Tomas each had 10 points for Cibona, that trailed 24-21 after 10 minutes but outscored its opponents by 21-53 in the next two quarters to seal the outcome. Meanwhile, Zadar thrashed Borik Puntamika 72-99 on the road also on Saturday. Jakov Vladovic paced the winners with 20 points, Todor Gecevski added 17, Rok Stipcevic had 16, Juby Johnson 15 and Hrvoje Perincic 13 in an easy road win for Zadar. In other games, Cedevita topped Kvarner Novi Resort 93-88 while Zagreb bested Split 99-91. Dwayne Broyles had 21 points for Zagreb while Larry Ayuso led all scored with 41 points on 15-for-20 shooting for Split.
