Domen Lorbek - Union Olimpija Zlatorog provided the biggest surprise in the Slovenian League so far by edging Union Olimpija 90-88 in Lasko on Wednesday. Grega Mali led the winners with 18 points while Terry Williams and Slobodan Ocokoljic each added 16 for Zlatorog. Domen Lorbek had 20 points for Olimpija, Tyrell Lee, Teemu Rannikko and Manu Markoishvili each added 13 while Ivica Jurkovic got 11 for the guests, who trailed 75-63 after three quarters but got within 89-88 with 7 seconds to go. Williams made 1 of 2 free throws to seal the outcome. Helios Domzale stayed atop the standings at 10-1 by thrashing TCG Loka Kava 94-65 at home also on Wednesday. Aleksej Laskevic paced the winners with 21 points while Smiljan Pavic added 20. In other games, Elektra Esotech downed Geoplin Slovan 85-69 behind 22 points from Blaz Rucigaj while Alpos Sentjur upset Krka 78-81 in Novo Mesto.
