Sharone Wright - EiffelTowers EiffelTowers Den Bosch scored a thrilling 74-73 success over Matrixx Magixx Nijmegen Thursday in Game 1 of the best-of-seven Dutch League finals. Sharone Wright made one of two free-throw attempts with 1:25 to go and Chris Carrawell and Rensford Brempong missed in Matrixx Magixx's remaining possessions. The defending champs took a slim 22-19 margin at the end of the first quarter after the lead changed seven times in the first 10 minutes. EiffelTowers went ahead 10 with 2:50 remaining till halftime and led 44-34 at the break. The advantage grew to 50-36 early in the third quarter, but Nijmegen then scored 9 straight points to get back in it. Late in the third quarter, the hosts were back up by double figures and the cushion was 65-55 after 30 minutes. But Matrixx Magixx rallied once more. Carrawell tied the game at 71-71 from the foul line with 4 minutes remaining in the contest and then hit a mid-range jumper to give his side its first advantage in the second half, 71-73. But it wasn't enough to get the victory. Travis Young led the winners with 23 points, Leon Rodgers tallied 12 with 8 rebounds while Sharone Wright and Sam Jones had 10 apiece. Chris Carrawell scored 18 points for Nijmegen, while Ryan Sears and Seamus Boxley added 14 each.
