Polish League Playoffs, Semifinals, Game 7: May 13, 2007
Prokom Trefl Sopot held off a spirited challenge from Anwil Wloclawek on Sunday to return to the Polish League finals. Defending champion Prokom defeated Anwil Wloclawek 88-83 in Game 7 of the teams' best-of-seven semifinal series and will now host BOT Turow Zgorzelec in the opener of the finals series on Friday in Sopot. Game 7 was a thriller. Prokom led early, but Anwil came back. The teams then traded baskets as it came down to the last minute, with the hosts ahead 81-80. Zbigniew Bialek had his shot blocked by Huseyin Besok and after that the Turkish center hit a bomb from downtown. Prokom was up 4 and held on thanks to well executed free throws and aggressive defense. Donatas Slanina led the way for Prokom with 24 points. Slanina drilled four triples and dished 4 assists. Tomas Masiulis added 15, while Christian Dalmau and Besok finished with 12 each and Jeff Nordgaard had 11. Besok also had 8 rebounds. Andrzej Pluta scored 19 points for Anwil, Otis Hill added 17 and Chris Thomas 12.
