Olympic Fribourg outclassed Lugano Tigers 96-79 in Game 1 of the best-of-five Swiss League finals behind 27 points from Harold Mrazek. The hosts built a 26-19 cushion after 10 minutes, and despite the Tigers climbing within 34-29 at the midway point of the second quarter, Fribourg climbed to 50-41 at halftime. Olympic kept on running after the break to go to 62-46 with 4 minutes left and 73-57 entering the last period. In the final 10 minutes Fribourg maintained a safe cushion to go up 1-0. Brandon Polk had 23 points and Lorenzo Orr a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds, while the team had an outstanding shooting performance – 62% on two-pointers and 57% on three-pointers. Chris Grimm and Edwin Draughan combined for 54 points for the Tigers, who will host Game 2 on Saturday at Istituto Elvetico of Lugano.
