Polish League finals, Game 1: May 18, 2007
Michael Andersen - Prokom Trefl Sopot Defending champion Prokom Trefl Sopot outlasted challenger BOT Turow Zgorzelec in Game 1 of the best-of-seven Polish League finals 78-77 in overtime. Center Michael Andersen came off the bench to make 8-of-9 shots on his way to 17 points to lead the hosts. An even game, that was knotted at 32-32 at halftime, came down to the fourth quarter, when Christian Dalmau missed a jumper with 3 seconds to go and the game went to overtime. In the extra period, the hosts raced ahead to 75-66, but Turow didn't give up and got within 1. However Dragisa Drobnjak missed two critical free shots in the closing seconds, allowing Prokom to celebrate the win. Christian Dalmau finished with 14 points and 6 assists, Huseyin Besok tallied 12 points and 8 rebounds, Filip Dylewicz had 10 points and 9 boards and Donatas Slanina added 10 points. Thomas Kelati had 23 points and 4 assists for Turow and Andres Rodriguez added 22 points, 7 boards and 6 steals. Game 2 is on Sunday in Sopot.
