Luksa Andric - Cibona Cibona Zagreb won the feature encounter in the Croatian League on Sunday, beating Zadar on the road 83-99 to grab sole possession of first place in the standings. Cibona improved to 12-1 record, while Zadar fell to 11-2 and now sits in second. The visitors built an early 14-24 cushion in the first quarter and led 43-53 at halftime. Cibona extended the advantage to 43-57 as the second half got underway before Zadar climbed back to 56-61 through midway the third quarter. But Cibona didn't buckle and responded with a 9-21 run to finish the period up 65-82 on the way to a solid victory.Luksa Andric led the way with 23 points, Davor Kus added 20 and Brent Wright 19, while Todor Gecevski posted 18 and Juby Johnson 17 for Zadar. In other games, Zagreb topped Borik Puntamika 84-73 behind 23 points from Josip Sesar, while Svjetlost downed Cedevita 106-91. Split thrashed Kvarner Rijeka 112-85 behind 30 points by Larry Ayuso,to earn a share of third place with Zagreb at 8-5.
