Croatian League, second phase, Game 14: May 2&23, 2007
Nikola Garma - KK Zagreb Cibona Zagreb finished the Croatian League second phase in first place despite losing its finale 68-77 to Zagreb in the local derby. Cibona's final record was 12-2, the same as Zadar, which roughed up Kvarner Rijeka 75-93, however Cibona earned the top spot thanks to a better head-to-head record. Zagreb stunned Cibona behind 20 points from by Nikola Garma. The visitors outscored Cibona 11-20 in the second period to take a 30-40 halftime advantage, which held up the rest of the way. Gordon Zadravec posted 11 points and 11 rebounds and Kenny Taylor scored 9 points and dished 8 assists for Zagreb, which outrebounded Cibona 22-34. Chris Warren had 22 for Cibona. Zadar scored a huge win over Kvarner Rijeka as Carl English scored 28 and dished 9 assists. In other games, Cedevita beat Split CO 92-85 in overtime, while Borik Puntamika downed Svjetlost 82-69 in a game played three weeks earlier. In the semifinals series, which begin on Saturday, Cibona will face Split and Zadar takes on Zagreb.
