Portuguese League finals, Game 6: May 24, 2007
Ovarense Aerosoles beat FC Porto Ferpinta 75-86 on Thursday to set up a mouth-watering finale to the Portuguese-League season. Ovarense's win tied the best-of-seven finals series at 3-3 and allowed the regular-season champs the right to host the deciding game on Saturday. The visitors came out hungry, blasting Porto by scoring the game's first 15 points. Ovarense led 8-25 after 10 minutes, but Porto slowly came back. The lead was cut to 29-40 by halftime and Porto then got within 3 early in the fourth quarter on a TJ Sorrentine triple. However Ben Reed rose up for Ovarense and put the team back on the road to victory. Gregory Stempin posted 24 points and 11 rebounds for Ovarense, Shawn Jackson added 21 and Reed had 18 and 9. Sorrentine paced Porto with 17 in defeat.
