Serbian League second phase, Game 12: May 26-27, 2007
Zoran Erceg - BC FMP Hemofarm and FMP keep leading the Serbian League standings, each with a 10-2 record. FMP stayed unstoppable by thrashing Vojvodina 74-90 in Novi Sad on Saturday. Zoran Erceg led the winners with 24 points, Branko Cvetkovic added 17, Milos Teodosic had 13 while Predrag Samardziski got 12 in an easy win for FMP, that led 17-26 after 10 minutes, boosted its lead to 57-71 after 30 minutes and never looked back. Meanwhile, Hemofarm downed Masinac 69-87 in Kraljevo also on Saturday. Vladan Vukosavljevic paced the winners with 19 points. Vanja Plisnic had 16, Bojan Bakic added 15 and Aleksej Nesovic 10 for Hemofarm. Bakic had all of his 15 points in the first half to make Hemofarm get a 41-47 halftime edge. Vukosavljevic helped Hemofarm to break the game open, 54-71, after 30 minutes, enough to seal the outcome. Meanwhile, Partizan took the big showdown of the week by edging Crvena Zvezda 91-86 at home also on Saturday. Predrag Drobnjak led Partizan with 18 points. Nikola Pekovic added 15, Vonteego Cummings got 13 while Dusan Kecman, Novica Velickovic and Uros Tripkovic each had 10 for Partizan, that stayed third at 9-3. Igor Milosevic had 21 points for Zvezda, that is fourth at 7-5. Marko Cvetkovic had 17, Nemanja Aleksandrov 11 while Milan Gurovic and Tadija Dragicevic each added 10 for the guests. A three-pointer by Drobnjak got Partizan within 20-21 after 10 minutes. Milosevic kept Zvezda ahead early in the second quarter but another triple by Tripkovic tied it, 45-45, at halftime. The game stayed close after the break, as Milenko Tepic gave Partizan a 66-64 edge after 30 minutes. Drobnjak, Pekovic and free throws by Velickovic allowed Partizan to break the game, 80-72, with 3 minutes remaining. Finally, Mega Ishrana thrashed Sloga 99-77 on Sunday behind 25 points from Uros Nikolic.
