Swiss League Finals, Game 3: May 27, 2007
Olympic Fribourg is just one step away from winning the Swiss League title by downing the Lugano Tigers 63-54 at home in Game 3 of the best-of-five series on Saturday. As such, Fribourg leads the series 2-1 but Lugano hosts Game 4 on Wednesday, May 30. Tresore Quidome led the winners with 15 points. Dave Esterkamp added 14, Vogt had 12 and Lorenzo Orr 11 for Fribourg. Edwin Draughan led the Tigers with 20 points. The guests had a strong start and got a 10-27 margin early in the second quarter, but Olympic climbed within 28-31 at halftime and managed to get its first lead with three minutes left in the third quarter, 40-39. Esterkamp beat the shot clock to give Fribourg a 54-46 margin with four minutes to go then the accuracy from the foul line allowed Olympic to get a critical win.
