Croatian League Semifinals, Game 3: May 30, 2007
Levour Warren Cibona Cibona managed to make it to the Croatian League final by edging Split 87-84 in do-or-die Game 3 on an incredible game-winning, buzzer-beating tripe by Chris Warren. As such, Cibona will face Zadar in the Croatian League best-of-five finals, set to start in Zagreb on Saturday. Davor Kus led the winners with 27 points on 15-of-15 free throws. Brent Wright posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, Luksa Andric had 12 points while Andrew Wisniewski added 11 for Cibona. Erck Barkley had 25 points for Split, Larry Ayuso added 23 while Damjan Rudez and Hrvoje Peric each for 10 for the guests. Kus helped Cibona to get a 48-42 halftime edge that the hosts extended to 57-47 midway through the third quarter. Split did not surrender, however, as Barkley brought the guests within 82-81 with 18 seconds remaining. Kus made free throws but Ayuso answered from downtown to tie it at 84-84 with 8 seconds to go. It all came down to the final play, as Warren hit the game-winning triple that allowed Cibona to keep defending its Croatian League title.
