Damir Mrsic - Fenerbahce Ulker Fenerbahce Ulker is just win away from lifting the Turkish League trophy by downing Efes Pilsen 66-78 in Game 3 on Tuesday. As such, Fenerbahce leads the best-of-seven series 3-0 but Efes hosts Game 4 in Abdi Ipecki on Friday. Damir Mrsic led the winners with 19 points. Mirsad Turkcan posted a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds while Omer Onan had 10 points for Fenerbahce. Drew Nicholas had 17 points for Efes, Cuneyt Erden added 14 and Niksa Prkacin 10. Nicholas and Marcus Haislip allowed Efes to get a 14-6 lead early in the game, but Fener rallied in the second quarter and got the lead, 32-30, on a three-pointer by Mrsic. He scored again from downtown to make it 34-37 at halftime. Mrsic got some help from Ira Clark to break the game open, 39-48, midway through the third quarter. Efes could not find the way to the basket, while Will Solomon helped the guests to make it a 17-point game, 42-59, after 30 minutes. Efes failed to rally, as Fener cruised to a big win and got closer to win its first Turkish League title since 1991.
