Sasa Doncic - Helios Domzale Helios Domzale is just one win away from winning its first-ever Slovenian League title, as it got a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five final series by downing Union Olimpija 66-56 at home on Saturday. Olimpija hosts Game 4 in Ljubljana on Wednesday, June 6. If Olimpija wins it, Helios would host do-or-die Game 5 in Domzale on June 10. Sasa Doncic led the winners with 14 points. Smiljan Pavic posted a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, Robert Troha had 11 points while Aleksej Laskevic added 10 for Helios. Miha Zupan led Olimpija with 23 points on 9-of-10 two-pointers and 12 rebounds. Domen Lorbek and Tyrell Lee each added 10 for the guests, that rallied from a 13-point deficit in the final 7 minutes to get within 59-56. Aljaz Janza and Pavic allowed Helios to seal a critical win down the stretch. Helios opened the game with a 7-0 run that Pavic capped with a three-point play. Even when free throws by Zupan got Olimpija within 17-15, Doncic fired in his second triple and Janza scored for a 22-15 Helios lead after 10 minutes. Another basket by Laskevic made in an 11-point game, 26-15. Sandi Cebular and Zupan kept pacing Olimpija but Pavic, Troha and Ziga Zagorc fueled a 6-0 run that boosted Helios' lead to 37-25 at halftime. Olimpija opened the third quarter with a 0-6 run, but it was not enough to ignit a major comeback. A three-pointer by Lorbek only got the guests within 44-39, but Domen Zerak and Troha stepped up to boost Helios' lead to a game-high 58-45 with less than 7 minutes to go. Zupan, Lorbek and Ivica Jurkovic managed to cut Olimpija's deficit to 59-56 with a minute remaining, but Janza hit free throws and Pavic scored in the middle to seal the outcome.
