Dutch League, Game 4: October 19, 2006
The EiffelTowers Den Bosch stayed as the only teams unbeaten atop the Dutch League standings with a 5-0 record by thrashing Landstede Zwolle 94-76 at home. Erik Nelson led the winners with 17 points, Omari Westley added 13, Kees Akerboom and Sharone Wright each had 12 and Sam Jones 11 in yet another easy win for the EiffelTowers. The Demon Astronuats used outstanding defense to stop the Hanzevast Capitals 63-48 in Amsterdam on Thursday night. Both teams are now tied with a 2-3 record. Peter Van Paassen led the winners with 18 points, as the Astronauts limited the Capitals to just 6 points in the second quarter to get a 33-18 lead at halftime, enough to control the game until the final buzzer. Zorg en Zekerheid beat Rotterdam 84-74 behind 16 points from Shelton Colwell, while Woon! Aris improved to 2-2 by edging Onmiworld Almere 71-78 on the road also on Thursday. Herman Favors led 5 Woon! Aris players in double digits with 13 points. On Tuesday, the Polynorm Giants edged Upstairs Weert 78-81 on a game-winning triple by Domien Loubry.
