Bulgarian League, Game 12: December 8-9, 2006
Gjorgji Cekovski - Lukoil Academic CSKA Sofia survived another test to improve to 12-0 in the Bulgarian League. CSKA defeated cross-town rival Levski 93-105 on the road to remain one game ahead of Lukoil Academic Sofia. Brad Traina led six CSKA scorers in double figures with 19 points, while Dimitar Marakovski, Trevor Harvey and Jordan Bozov added 17 apiece. Stanislav Slaveykov scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Levski. CSKA made a decisive 18-28 run in the third quarter to take control for good. Lukoil Academic outlasted Rilski Sportist 91-81 behind 18 points and 13 rebounds from Gjorgji Cekovski. Riste Stefanov and Todor Stoykov had 15 each, Taliek Brown finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Georgi Davidov posted 12. Momchil Petrov and Andrean Ilchev scored 21 each for Rilski. Cherno More IG got 19 points from Leven Belberov as it thrashed Dunav 103-67; Milijan Vukotic scored 24 and grabbed 12 rebounds for Yambol in an 82-70 win over Spartak MVR and Spartak Pleven defeated Balkan 95-75 behind 16 points and 9 rebounds from Hrisimir Dimitrov.
