Russian League, Game 12: December 19-23, 2006
Lokomotiv Rostov scored a key road win over Standart Samarskiy to move back to the top half of the table in the Russian League. With the top four teams in the standings off this week, Rostov got 15 points and 8 rebounds from Omar Sneed to top Standart 75-88. Spartak VGUES Primorie outlasted Ural Great on the road in Perm 94-98 as Derrick Phelps, Viktor Keirou and Willie Deane all topped the 20-point mark. Sam Hoskin led Ural Great with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Meanwhile, CSK VVS-Samara was all over Sibirtelekom-Lokomotiv 65-83 as Pavel Ulianko led five Samara scorers in double figures with 17 points. In Saturday's only game, Spartak St. Petersburg held on to beat University Ugra 83-79. Boniface N'Dong posted 23 points and 14 reounds and Anton Yudin added 22 to lead St. Petersburg, while Fred Warrick led Ugra with 19 in defeat.
