Polish League, Game 13: December 27-30, 2006
Christian Dalmau - Prokom Trefl Defending champion Prook Trefl Sopot topped last year's runner-up Anwil Wloclawek 88-76 in the big matchup of the Polish League over the weekend. Prokom improved to 10-3 with the victory – one win behind league-leader Turow Zgorzelec, which topped Energa Czarni 74-60 for its 10th straight win. Bergson Slask, which was tied with Prokom for second heading into the weekend games, struggled and lost on the road at MKS Sokołow 52-53 after forward Dominik Tomczyk missed triple at the buzzer for the win. Dejan Becin scored 12 to lead Sokołow, while Glen Elliott had 11 for Slask. Gipsar Stal beat Polpak Swiecie 77-76 as Tony Akins scored 25 and Wojciech Szawarski 24 for the winners. Kevin Hamilton posted 15 for Polpak. Kotwica Kolobrze fell to 4-9 in the standings after losing to Kager 75-79. Kotwica coach coach Mariusz Karol was dismissed after the defeat. Courtney Eldridge led Kager with 17, while Rafa Bigus had 15 points for the hosts. Last placed Unia Tarnow lost at home to AZS Koszalin 83-90, despite 22 points from Vladimir Colic. Michael Haynes led the winners with 21.

In Sopot, Anwil started out strong in its first appearance under new coach Ales Pipan and the game was even after 12 minutes. However that's when Christian Dalmau stepped up for the hosts. He scored and dished out assists as Prokom built a 15-point advantage. The visitors struggled on offense, and Prokom played even better defense as the gap grew to 20 on a Donatas Slanina three-point-play. Andrzej Pluta and Otis Hill helped Anwil cut the gap to 8 points midway through the fourth quarter, but Prokom did not let up and held on for the victory. Dalmau finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Prokom. Jeff Nordgaard scored 12 of his 14 in the first quarter, while Slanina added 11 and Michael Andersen had 11 points and 8 rebounds. League-leading scorer Pluta had a game-high 22 for Anwil, while Hill finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Zbigniew Bialek and Seid Hajric totaled 11 each.

Turow Zgorzelec won its tenth straight game, topping Energa Czarni 74-60. The league leaders limited their opponents to less than 70 points for the 12th time in 12 games. Andres Rodriguez scored 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting – including one triple – and 9-of-9 form the free-throw line. Rodriguez also dished out 9 assists and had 5 steals.
