Tau Ceramica improved to 15-1 overcame a heavy atmosphere to beat Lagun Aro Bilbao Basket 76-88 on the road in front of a record-breaking audience of 15,414 fans, the biggest crowd ever in a Spanish League game. Rakocevic led the winners with 26 points, Zoran Planinic added 18, Fred House had 15 and Luis Scola 13 for Tau. House capped a 3-12 run with a triple which gave Tau a 35-43 lead at halftime. Even when Tau led all the way from that moment, Bilbao Basket got within 72-76 with 3 minutes to go. A big basket by Scola and a three-point play by House sealed the win for Tau down the stretch. Real Madrid held off a wild rally to edge DKV Joventut 95-91 at home on Saturday. Madrid improved to 14-2 while Joventut dropped to 9-7. Bullock came off the bench to lead the winners with 26 points on 4-of-5 three-pointers and 12-of-12 free throws. Felipe Reyes added 21, Axel Hervelle had 13 and Charles Smith 10 for Madrid.
