Axel Hervelle, Kerem Tunceri and Louis Bullock each added 13, Felipe Reyes had 12 and Marko Tomas 10, including a nine-meter bomb at the end of the first quarter. Another eight-meter running triple by Tunceri gave Madrid a 43-32 halftime margin. Second-chance baskets and fast breaks allowed Madrid to extend its margin to 66-45 late in the third quarter, enough to seal the outcome. Tau Ceramica added yet another home win by thrashing Gran Canaria Grupo Dunas 102-85 in Vitoria also on Sunday morning. Scola led the winners with 29 points on 12-of-14 two-pointers.
