Swiss League Cup, Semifinals: January 20-21, 2007
Olympic Fribourg and Lugano Tigers will play in the Swiss League Cup final on February 10 at Champel. That was decided over the weekend in the back-to-back semifinal games. Harold Mrazek bagged 26 points and Dave Esterkamp added 18 to help Fribourg to take a 75-88 win over Geneva Devils in the first leg, while Vince Thomas scored 32 to lead Sion Herens to an 85-74 success over Lugano Tigers, which got 28 points from Edwin Draughan. In Sunday's second legs, Olympic won 97-83 as the duo of Brandon Polk and Lorenzo Orr combined for 34 points and Edwin Draughan drilled 41 points to lead the Tigers to an 84-66 win and a spot in the title game.
