Greek League, Game 15: January 27-28, 2007
Jeremiah Massey - ArisTT Bank The top three teams in the Greek League all won over the weekend, leaving the status quo atop the table intact. Sani Becirovic led Panathinaikos to an easy domination of Olympiada Patras 75-49, Olympiacos escaped from Panellinios with a convincing 70-94 victory thanks to the strong play of center Giannis Bourousis and Aris managed to beat Maroussi on the road 62-69 as Jeremiah Massey posted a double-double. PAOK moved into a tie for fourth place with a strong win over Panionios 75-70. In other games, Apollon Patras beat AEK 86-79 as veteran shooter Jimmy Oliver posted 27 points, while Brent Scott led AEK with 21 points and 10 boards. Olympia Larissa beat Makedonikos on the road by 72-75 behind 22 points from Giorgos Printezis, while Dawyne Jefferson scored 27 for the home team. AEL crushed Egaleo 97-71 with 23 points coming from Venezuelan star Hector Romero and 21 by Arthur Lee. Keidren Clark led Egaleo with 19 points.

Sani Becirovic led Panathinaikos to an easy domination over Olympiada, as the Sloivenian guard scored 17 points and dished 7 assists. Tony Delk added 13, while Milos Vujanic and Dimitris Diamantidis contributed 12 points apiece. Diamantidis also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Panellinios and Olympiacos were tied 36-36 at halftime, but the Reds combined good execution with hard defense in the second half. Bourousis led his team with 25 points – including 3-of-4 three-point shooting – 10 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Christos Harisis added 14, Adrija Zizic 13 and 8 boards and Scoonie Penn finished with 12 points and 4 assists. Michalis Pelekanos scored 32 for Panellinios, but they were not enough to cause Olympiacos trouble.

In Maroussi, first Savas Iliadis (20 points) and later Terrel Castle (13 points) and Jeremiah Massey (20 points, 10 rebounds) helped Aris to an important road win, while Alexis Kiritsis and Danya Abrams led the home team with 15 and 14 points respectively. PAOK had a dominating third period, which helped the home team record a big win over Panionios 75-70. Jason Parker led PAOK with 23 points, while Dimitris Haritopoulos and Giannis Kalabokis added 12 apiece and Vlado Scepaniovic 10. Darius Washington came back after a car accident three weeks ago and scored 3 points in 15 minutes. Kennedy Winston led Panionios with 23 points.
