Another week, another win for Sluc Nancy, that tied with Roanne atop the standings and improved to 15-5 by beating Clermont 70-79 on the road on Friday. Branko Milisavljevic led the winners with 21 points. Maxime Zianveni posted a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, Tariq Kirksay and Cyril Julian each ahd 13 while Cedrick Banks added 10 for Nancy, which led almost all the way and got a 56-68 lead with 6 minutes to go, enough to add a valuable road win. Strasbourg stays fourth at 12-8 by edging Besancon 69-66 at home on Saturday. Aerick Sanders paced the winners with 25 points, Chuck Eidson added 18 and Lonnie Cooper 10. Besancon led 60-61 with 3 minutes to go, but Aerick Sanders had Strasbourg's last 9 points to make his team add a big win. Pau dropped to 10-10 due to a 69-60 road loss against Gravelines. Patch Morlende led Gravelines with 26 points and 7 assists. Michael Wright had 18 points for Pau while C.C. Harrison added 10. Le Mans dropped to 11-9 and joined a four-way tie for the sixth place due to a 68-69 home loss against Orleans. Benjamin Dewar became the game hero by firing in the game-winning triple at the buzzer. Kenny Gregory had 21 points for Le Mans, Nebojsa Bogavac 15 and Sandro Nicevic 12. In other games, Dijon topped Le Havre 80-90, Adecco Asvel thrashed Hyeres-Toulon 84-51, Roanne bested Reims 75-89, Paris beat Bourg 74-82 while Cholet edged Chalon 72-74 with a game-winning shot by Nando De Colo.
