Perennial Latvian champions BK Ventspils remain the only unbeaten team in the Latvian League after improving to 4-0 by outlasting Bumerangs 99-78. Three players tallied 14 points – Darlon Johnson, Dusan Jelic and Justin Love – while Akselis Vairogs added 11 and Pavels Veselovs, Raimonds Gabrans, and Raimonds Vaikulis bagged 10 apiece. Barons/LMT dropped to second place by suffering their first loss of this phase, 68-60 against Valmiera. Sandis Amolins was the best scorer for Valmiera with 14 points while Armands Skele had 16 for Barons. ASK Riga picked up back-to-back wins, topping Falco/Kei 89-64 on Friday and then Liepaja, 77-67 on Sunday, raising its record to 3-1 for third place in the standings.
