Croatian Cup Quarterfinals: February 6, 2007
All four Adriatic League teams advanced to the Croatian Kresimir Cosic Cup final four that takes place this weekend, as Cibona, Zadar, Split and Zagreb won their respective games to carry on fighting for the first domestic title of the 2006-07 season. Cibona had to battle harder than expected to down Dubrovnik 101-91 at home. Ivan Tomas led the winners with 21 points while Marin Rozic added 17 for Cibona, that played without Andrew Wisniewski, Davor Kus and Chris Warren. Josip Glavinic had 24 points for Dubrovnik, that stayed in the game for 36 minutes before Cibona sealed the win. Zadar had less troubles to down Sibenik 56-80 on the road also on Tuesday behind 23 points from Carl English. Zadar now has the chance to carry on fighting to win the Croatian Cup title despite a five-game losing streak in the Adriatic League. In other games, Split edged Svjetlost Brod 88-84 behind 21 points from Marko Car and 19 from Larry Ayuso. Finally, Zagreb beat Cedevita 90-81 with 34 points from Josip Sesar.
