Drazen Anzulovic - Cibona Zadar and Zagreb will have their first opportunities to win their first domestic title of the 2006-07 season as both teams will face each other in the Croatian Kresimir Cosic Cup final on Sunday. Zadar had less trouble than expected in beating Split 104-82 in one of the semifinals on Saturday. Carl English led the winners with 19 points, Jure Lalic added 17 and Todor Gecevski 13 in an easy win for Zadar, which made 63% of its shots. Zadar led 31-19 after 10 minutes and boosted its margin to 62-27 at halftime, enough to seal the win long before the final buzzer. Zagreb provided the biggest surprise of the tournament by downing Cibona 89-82 in the other semifinal. Kenny Taylor paced Zagreb with 25 points, Gordan Zadravec added 16 and Josip Sesar 15 for the winners. Chris Warren had 18 points for Cibona, Davor Kus added 17, Brent Wright 16, Jurica Zuza 12 and Andrew Wisniewski 10. Zagreb led 50-29 at halftime and even though Cibona got within 80-74 with 4 minutes to go, it could not complete its comeback. Cibona coach Drazen Anzulovic was not only ejected, but physically attacked by a referee who grabbed him by the neck. "I deserved to be ejected, but I haven’t seen anything like this in the history of our sport, " Anzulovic said after the game.
