Russian League, Game 19: February 16-18, 2007
Aleksey Savrasenko - CSKA Moscow CSKA Moscow and Unics Kazan tie atop the Russian League standings, each with a 14-2 record. CSKA did not have much trouble to down Spartak Vgues 93-65 in Moscow on Saturday. Aleksey Savrasenko led the winners with 16 points, Trajan Langdon had 15, Oscar Torres 11 while Matjaz Smodis and Zalhar Pashutin each added 10 in an easy home win for CSKA, that led 45-28 at halftime and never looked back. Khimki improved to 13-4 and stays third by thrashing SibirTelekom 93-66 in the Moscow region on Friday. Gianmarco Pozzecco had 15 points for Khimki, Ruben Wolkowyski added 14, Maciej Lampe 13, Vladimir Veremeenko 12 and Kelly McCarty 10 for the winners. Khimki led 45-32 at halftime and kept a safe margin all the way until the final buzzer. Dynamo is fourth at 12-4 by also downing Sibirtelekom 83-58 on Sunday. Andrei Trushkin led Dynamo with 18 points, Dmitri Domani had 12 and Obinna Ekezie 10 for the winners, that led 49-28 at halftime and did not have much trouble to add another home win. In other games, CSK VVS-Samara beat Lokomotiv Rostov 80-68 while Dynamo Moscow Region topped Standart 89-62.
